Now moving on the fun stuff.  Here is my February box for you to enjoy with me.

A leave in hair conditioner.  This stuff is AWESOME!   It smells fantastic.  Leaves your hair super shiny and healthy feeling and it protects it against the sun and heat styling tools.  What more could you want?

I've almost used the whole bottle so I'm off to buy myself the full sized one.

Oh chocolate... how I adore you.

And oh how I wish I could tell you that I let you live longer than 2 minutes before I ate you.

Beauty Balm... this stuff I was skeptical about.  I'm always skeptical with new face products, but this one is pretty cool.  It's a light color that blends in with your face and covers any of those imperfections (that I know none of us have)  It's great to wear on those no makeup, low maintenance days!

Green nail polish... ok maybe it's more Emerald, but whatever color it is it's so fun for spring.

I've never worn a green polish before but this color is to perfect not to wear!

And then my little squirt bottle of Juicy perfume.  YUM!  It smells fabulous!

Well there you go.. there are the contents of my Feb. box (a little late... I know) and I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of my March box and when it gets here I'll be glad to show you what surprises are in store.

Whoooooo Lives in a Pinapple Under the Sea???

I guess when you have a girl, you envision, princess parties, complete with pink, ruffles and tutus.
Never in a million years would I have dreamed that we would have had a Spongebob Birthday for the Big #2!

Now you might be saying, "Hey Jami, you do have control here...."  You are right I do.  But when you see this girls face light up when anything Spongebob crosses her path, you only want to make her face light up even more with a Spongebob overload party!

Well, then came the challenge of creating a girly Spongebob birthday.  I mean, go look, everything SB related is all blue and boyish.  Definitely not ok for a 2 year old girl... so I knew I had my work cut out for me.  After multiple trips to any and every craft store in town, and any and every party store in the world, here is a sneak peek into Blake's special day.

Then came the friend party at the park.

All of her little friends came to play and I had one table to decorate at this party.

Our house is still recovering from the overload of Spongebob, but she couldn't get enough.

I think it was a success and I'm so glad that it is finally over.

DIY Maxi Skirt

Let me explain my history of sewing.

I was 7ish- my mom helped me make a pillow.

It was shaped like a heart (ish) and it was awful.

But that was the very first thing I ever made with a sewing machine.

Then came Pintrest.

It convinced me I needed to start sewing things.

So I made the next logical step and asked for a sewing machine for Christmas.

For Christmas my mom got be a little $30 machine.

I told her I wanted something that would be a trial machine, because I wasn't sure if I'd like it.

Turns out I LOVED it and wore that little machine out.

Well, then my dear sweet hubby got me this fancy baby for my birthday...

And life has never been the same.

I'm definitely not great, but I'm improving and I'm having fun.

I found THIS tutorial on how to make a maxi skirt.

So I gave it a whirl.

First pick yourself up some knit material from Hobby Lobby on sale.
You'll need about 2 yards.

Next, measure your hips.
You can measure your waist if you want, but I wanted a skirt to sit low on the hips.

 No crazy perfect measurements, just your waist or hip size.

cut the top to the size of your waist and angle out so the bottom is slightly larger than the top.

Cut out the waist band of your skirt.
Did I mention this skirt has a yoga waist band?
Oh I didn't.  Well it makes it that much more amazing!  :)

And then forget to stop taking pictures because you sew your skirt together instead of making an opening for you to fit in.
Oops... leave that step out.
Pulling out the seams is a pain in the booty!

So refer to the tutorial for more exact measurements.
If this not professional seamstress can pull this skirt off, then anyone can!

The skirt turned out adorable, it is so comfy and it was super easy.

I didn't get a final picture of it because I keep forgetting to ask the hubby to play photographer.
Mine is obviously a pink version of this.
Pair it with a white tank and a big ol necklace and it's the perfect summer go to outfit!

The Last Year of my 20's

Today marks the start of the last year of my 20's.

Oh the 20's how crazy you have been.

A lot of stuff has happened in this decade of my life, so I'm excited to see what the 30's bring.

But that being said, this means I must go out in style before I turn the big 3-0!

So here is my little list of things I hope to accomplish this year.

(Yes I realize that this is pointless, but it's therapeutic for me.  - Me feelings will not be hurt if you stop reading now)

1. I want to get up before my family does.  I want that time of quiet with the Lord, to pray for them and our day! 
2. I've always been so concerned with my "BIG purpose" in life.  I want to learn how to focus on my daily purpose and how to love others.
3. I want to learn how to live a life of generosity, financially, verbally, and in my actions.
4. I want to conquer the Terrible Two's with our Little Miss- prayers can start like yesterday!
5. I want to take a family camping trip!  Or even a one night camping trip will do!
6. A kid free trip with just my hubby would be a great way to end my 20's
7. I would love to get all the pregnancies out of the way in my 20's.  So hopefully before I'm 30, we'll have kid #2 on the way.... Go ahead and celebrate, Caleb!

That's pretty much it!

I hope I always continue to grow and never feel like I know it all!

And I always hope my husband and my daughter know they are the top priority in my life.

Thank you to my wonderful family back home in Oklahoma, and my wonderful family here in Colorado.  I couldn't be more blessed if I tried!

Little Miss and the Sweet and Sassy Salon

Little Miss accomplished a huge milestone today.

She got her hair cut.

I mean my girl can definitely rock the Little Cute Ragamuffin look but we really needed some help with this hair.

She is supposed to be the flower girl in my sister's wedding this week, so that called for a hair intervention.

I, the responsible intervention leading parent, packed up said kiddo and headed off to the Sweet and Sassy Salon.

Side note on this place, it is seriously a little girl's dream. A Chuckie Cheese for girls!

Not only is it a hair salon, complete with TV's at each station to distract the kids from the sharp scissors that are coming at their face.

But it also has a little manicure/pedicure place and a runway for the girls to walk down after they get all dolled up.  After each hair cut they get a glitter hairspray and a sparkle tattoo put on them.  (I decided to not participate in the extra sparkle)  We were pushing our luck with just the hair cut.

Case and Point.  

Yep, she was thrilled!

 However, give the girl a couple of combs and Yogi Bear on her own personal TV and she sits pretty nicely so the stylist can work her magic.

Yes, they even took a mini 1/2 inch curling iron to her hair and curled it all up for her.

And the best part of this whole experience in Blake's eyes was...

She got her very own, pink flower sucker.

All in all, very successful trip.

And then a moment of sadness realizing your baby is getting a little to big.

But at least her hair is looking good now.
